Low EC cocopeat is washed, and is chosen where a lower salt level is wanted as supplied. High EC is natural and suits buyers who wash or buffer after arrival.

How many 5 kg cocopeat blocks fit in a 40 ft container?

This is the question we are asked most often, and the honest answer is that it depends. We do not publish a fixed figure, because the real number moves with several variables.

  • Block dimensions and how tightly the material is compressed
  • Whether the container is floor loaded or palletised
  • Pallet footprint, stacking height and strapping method
  • Container type and the payload limit that applies on your route
  • Any weight restriction enforced at the destination
