Cocopeat supplied from Indonesia to Spain

What Spanish protected cropping buyers specify, and why the import requirement here has to be checked at two levels rather than one.

Served market. Agrorise has supplied Indonesian cocopeat for buyers in Spain. We publish the country and nothing further about any shipment.

Spain has a large protected cropping sector, and buyers there are generally specific about grading and salt content because the substrate is under managed irrigation. Expect the quotation conversation to go straight to preparation and grading rather than to format.

On the regulatory side, European Union rules are set centrally and enforced by the Spanish authority. Confirm both, because knowing the European position is not the same as knowing what will be asked for at the Spanish border.

Import conditions

Import conditions for Spain are set by the authority below, not by us. Read the current position at the source before you order, because requirements change and a summary reproduced on a supplier website does not.

Official plant health guidance

Spain applies the European Union plant health regime. Check the European Union position as well as the national one.

What to confirm before ordering

  • Confirm the European Union requirement and the Spanish enforcement position, because they are two separate checks.
  • Raise grading explicitly at quotation. It is the specification most often left vague and the one protected cropping notices first.
  • Say whether you buffer the material yourself before planting.
  • Agree the consistency tolerance you need between deliveries, in writing.
